The Roof-Hook has many standard design elements, which include: ~ Drop-forged high-carbon steel hook-head and chisel-end. ~ 1 inch diameter DOM (Drawn Over Mandrel) steel tubing for strength and reduced weight. ~ No rubber or foam grips, so it can be used out of the box as is or customized by the end user/firefighter. Major improvements include: ~ A slot forged into the lower hook, to allow the forks of a traditional Halligan to be married. ~ The end of the upper hook comes to a point so that it can be used to break tempered window-glass/auto-glass or pierce roof decking to add safety and foot support during roof work. ~ The chisel end and 1” diameter tubing will slide inside the rung of a standard fire ladder, allowing for additional safety and support while during roof work, or allow gear/equipment to be hung off the side of a ladder to keep it safe and off the ground. ~Made in the USA!
