A marriage made in heaven!!  This Council version of the IRONS features our TD30 (Tuned and Dressed) Halligan tool married with our FE8 (Forcible Entry 8# Flathead axe).  TD30 is forged from 4140 in one piece and designed for maximum forcible entry.  The slot in the FE8 head allows both to be carried together without strapping. FE8 features our Patent Pending Dual-Grip 32″ hickory handle. Features a palm swell on one side and a fawn’s foot on the other.   This handle is designed to be comfortable in the hand either way you are swinging the axe. Tap the head down to set the bond and tap the handle down to release. The working ends are heat-treated for maximum strength, toughness, and wear resistance. The fork, adz, and pike are designed for leverage and strength. Widths and tapers are intended to allow easy penetration. Halligan comes “Tuned and Dressed,” meaning the forks are thinned out, and gap and set marks are already on both ends of the tool. The overall length is 30 in. Made of .987″ Octagon 4140 steel. Lacquer finish to show natural steel (no welds) for an easy-to-maintain finish and to deter rust. Made in USA. The 6ft. Roof-Hook has many standard design elements, which include: ~ Drop-forged high-carbon steel hook-head and chisel-end. ~ 1 inch diameter DOM (Drawn Over Mandrel) steel tubing for strength and reduced weight. ~ No rubber or foam grips, so it can be used out of the box as is or customized by the end user/firefighter.
